# What Does Trakkr Cost Per AI Answer?

[Subia PeerzadaFounder, Cite Solutions · September 14, 2026](https://www.linkedin.com/in/subia-peerzada-75025764/)

Key takeaways

## the pricing unit is the whole story

Trakkr sells prompt slots at a flat price and gives away the answers inside them. That makes width cheap and depth unbuyable.

1. 01One active prompt runs against all eight models once a day, so a slot is 240 answers a month. Growth at $100 for 50 slots is $8.33 per thousand answers, the cheapest entry tier we have priced.
2. 02Prompt packs make the marginal answer cheaper, not dearer: $3.25, $2.46 and $2.06 per thousand on the +50, +100 and +200 packs. Every credit meter in the bracket moves the other way.
3. 03Cadence is fixed at one run a day, which caps a prompt at 30 answers per engine per month against a published convergence band of 33 to 94.

Search for Trakkr and the first page hands you the same three numbers. Growth is $100, Scale is $500, eight models are included. Two of the reviews are published by companies selling a competing tracker.

Not one of them divides the price by the number of AI answers it buys.

We sell no platform. We run the measurement and the content work behind it for clients, so the only question we care about is whether the thing you are about to buy can carry the decision you are buying it for.

For this product, answering that means reading the run schedule in the docs rather than the price on the pricing page.

Paying for slots instead of answers

What one Trakkr answer costs, and how many of them land on any single prompt

Tier prices, prompt-pack prices and the daily run schedule read off Trakkr's own pricing page and product docs, September 2026\. One active prompt runs against all eight models once a day, so a slot is 240 answers a month. Comparison rows carried over from our normalised read of the wider bracket.

The marginal answer gets cheaper as you buy more, which no credit meter does

A prompt pack costs a flat monthly fee per brand and carries the same eight models and the same daily run. So the +200 pack adds 48,000 answers for $99, or $2.06 per thousand, against $8.33 on the base plan. On a credit meter the cost per answer is fixed by the meter and the only thing that falls is the rate card as you climb tiers.

Three numbers that decide the plan

$751is what the 90,132 answers behind our concluded study would have cost at the Growth rate, and $186 at the +200 pack rate. The price is not the constraint here.

50 slotsis the included width per brand on both paid plans, and 250 is the ceiling with the largest pack. Our own study ran 500\. The slot cap is the constraint.

18.7%of day pairs saw the category leader change across our 63-day corpus, and in four of ten categories it never changed once. Most of those 240 monthly answers confirm a standing you already hold.

## What does Trakkr cost per AI answer?

Trakkr's Growth plan is $100 a month for 50 active prompts across eight AI models, and [every active prompt runs against all eight once a day](https://trakkr.ai/learn/docs/features/prompts). That is 12,000 AI answers a month, or $8.33 per thousand. Scale at $500 covers ten brands at the same per-brand depth, which works out to $4.17 per thousand.

That is the cheapest entry tier in a bracket where we have now priced ten vendors the same way.

## Trakkr prices the prompt slot, and gives you the answers inside it

Vendors in this category meter things that do not map onto an AI answer: credits, projects, seats, checks, "queries". Comparing them means guessing at the conversion, which is most of the work in every teardown we publish.

Trakkr removes the guess entirely, because there is nothing to convert.

> A credit meter prices the answer. Trakkr prices the slot, and the answers inside it are free.

### One active prompt is 240 answers a month, which fixes the unit

Every active prompt runs once daily against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The dispatch starts at 02:00 UTC and the docs say results land by morning.

Eight models times thirty days is 240 answers per slot. Fifty slots on Growth is 12,000 a month for $100.

### The eight models are included on every tier, so there is no per-model dial to model

The docs state it plainly: every plan tracks all eight, with "no per-model fee and no credit metering."

This matters more than it sounds. On [AthenaHQ](/blog/athenahq-what-it-tracks) and [Rankscale](/blog/rankscale-what-it-measures) the engine count is a spend decision, because each engine you switch on multiplies the draw on a shared balance. Here it is not a decision at all. You get eight whether you want eight or not.

### Prompt packs make each extra answer cheaper, which reverses the usual ladder

Extra capacity comes as packs priced per brand on top of the plan: +50 prompts for $39 a month, +100 for $59, +200 for $99.

Each pack carries the same eight models and the same daily run, so a +200 pack adds 48,000 answers for $99\. That is $2.06 per thousand against $8.33 on the base plan.

Every credit-metered product in this bracket gets cheaper per answer only when you climb a tier, and the entry tier carries the margin. This one gets cheaper when you buy width at the same tier.

### Inactive prompts cost nothing and keep their history

Deactivating a prompt frees the slot and preserves the data behind it. So the 50-slot cap governs what is being watched this month, not what you have ever watched.

That is a genuinely useful design for seasonal or campaign questions, and it is the one place where the fixed cap behaves like a flexible one.

**A credit meter makes you ask:**

* •How many engines can I afford to run this month?
* •What does adding a competitor cost me?
* •Which prompts do I switch off to pay for the new ones?

**A flat slot price makes you ask:**

* •Which 50 questions deserve a slot?
* •What am I going to do with 240 answers a month on each of them?
* •Which of those readings would actually change a decision?

Every review answers the first list for you. The second list is the one that decides whether the dashboard means anything.

## 5 things the flat price decides that no Trakkr review mentions

None of these are defects. Each one follows from selling slots instead of answers.

### Consequence #1: The price stops being the constraint and the slot cap becomes one

Our concluded [CITE Index study](/ai-search-statistics) collected 90,132 AI answers across 63 days. At the Growth rate that corpus costs $751\. At the +200 pack rate it costs $186.

Nobody in this bracket comes close to that. But the study ran 500 prompts, and Trakkr tops out at 250 per brand with the largest pack. The bill was never going to stop you. The width will.

### Consequence #2: Cadence is fixed at daily, so depth is not on the menu at any price

One run a day caps a prompt on a single engine at 30 answers a month. Scale and Enterprise brands can force up to two extra runs with Rerun report, which gets you to 90.

In July 2026 Ronald Sielinski published [From Stochastic to Stable](https://arxiv.org/abs/2607.10341), which found stable rankings required between 33 and 94 answers across 30 platform-topic combinations. Three of the 30 never settled at all. It is an unreviewed preprint and the exact figures will not transfer to your category, but the order of magnitude will.

Thirty answers sits below that band. Ninety touches the bottom of it.

> Width is cheap here. Depth is not for sale at any price.

### Consequence #3: 12,000 answers a month is a wide reading, not a deep one

The headline volume is real and it is spread thin on purpose. Twelve thousand answers is 240 per prompt, which is 30 per prompt per engine.

So the honest description of a Growth plan is fifty questions watched shallowly on eight engines, not twelve thousand measurements. Both sentences are true. Only one of them tells you what the number on the screen can support, which is the same trap we costed out in [how many prompts are enough](/blog/prompt-tracking-how-many-prompts).

### Consequence #4: The white-label tier is priced as agency infrastructure, and the arithmetic is worth seeing

Scale is $500 for ten brands, extra brands are $50 each, client portals are free, seats are unlimited, and the portals carry your domain and your logo with no Trakkr branding anywhere.

That is $50 a month of tooling under a retainer the vendor's own agency page suggests pricing at $3,000 to $10,000\. We are naming that spread because it is the number to have in your head, whether you are the agency quoting the retainer or the brand receiving the quote.

If you are on the receiving end, the question to ask is what the other $2,950 buys, because [a managed GEO agency](/geo-agency) should be selling the earned work, not the login.

### Consequence #5: 25 AI-written articles a month ship with the tracker, and that is the part to think hardest about

Growth includes 25 articles a month and Scale includes 100\. Most measurement products in this bracket stop at measurement.

Our own reading of the evidence says bulk generated content is the wrong lever. We went through it in [is AI content hurting your AI search visibility](/blog/is-ai-content-hurting-your-ai-search-visibility), and the pattern holds in our corpus: only four of the twelve most-cited domains were brand-owned, and Reddit alone drew 14,698 citations across 13.6% of all 90,132 answers.

> Twenty-five articles a month is not a feature you grow into. It is a setting you leave switched off until you know what your category's answers are actually built on.

## What the pricing pages disagree about

Two things on Trakkr's own site did not reconcile when we read them in September 2026, and both are worth confirming before you sign.

The [pricing page](https://trakkr.ai/pricing) lists Scale at $500 a month or $6,000 a year, which is no discount, while advertising two months free on annual billing. The agencies page quotes Scale at $417 a month billed annually, which is the 17% discount applied. Ask which figure your invoice uses.

The second is answer volume. [LLM Pulse's teardown](https://llmpulse.ai/blog/best-trakkr-alternatives/) puts a Growth plan at roughly 1,400 evaluations a month. The vendor's own docs describe every active prompt running against all eight models daily, which is 12,000\. That is an 8.6x spread between two published readings of the same plan, and it moves the cost per thousand from $8.33 to $71.43.

We have used the docs figure throughout because it comes from the vendor and it is specific about the mechanism. Verify it in the trial by counting responses on a single prompt over seven days. If you see 56, the docs are right.

> No credit meter is not the same thing as a knowable bill. It is one less variable, not zero.

## Sizing a Trakkr plan before you buy

The diagnostic half is done. Here is the sequence we run with clients evaluating this product specifically.

### Step 1: Name the decision the dashboard has to carry

Write one sentence naming a decision you will make differently based on what the tool reports. "Whether to fund review-site placement next quarter" is a decision. "Understanding our AI visibility" is not.

If no prompt set changes that decision, the scope is the problem and no plan fixes it.

### Step 2: Run your ten highest-intent prompts by hand across all eight models

Before you pay for anything, ask the same ten shortlist-stage questions your buyers ask in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. Record where you appear, which competitors appear instead, and every domain cited.

Two hours of this tells you which engines carry your category. On most products that number sets your bill. Here it tells you which eighth of the dashboard to read.

### Step 3: Write your 50 slots as questions, not keywords

Fifty is the included width and it is the real product. Spend it on questions a buyer would type at the shortlist stage rather than category definitions, which is the split we worked through in [how to select prompts for LLM tracking](/blog/how-to-select-prompts-for-llm-tracking).

If your list runs past 50, price the +50 pack at $39 before assuming you need a bigger plan. The pack is the cheapest width in the bracket.

### Step 4: Use the 14-day trial to count answers, not features

The trial gives full Growth access. Spend it on one measurement: put a single prompt in, leave it a week, and count the responses it produced per model.

That number is the one every other calculation depends on, and it is the one the published reviews disagree about.

### Step 5: Set alert thresholds from a no-change period, not from day one

Leave the prompt set running with no content work for two weeks and watch the spread. That range is your category's noise band.

Every alert should sit outside it. Skip this and you will spend Monday mornings explaining arrows that were never signal, on a product that generates 240 of them per prompt per month.

### Step 6: Fund the earned half from the same budget line

Whatever the licence costs, hold back a matching share for the work that puts you inside other people's pages: earned mentions, comparison placements, review-site position, community presence.

At $100 a month that split is easy to get wrong in the other direction, because the tool is cheap enough to buy without a conversation about what happens next.

## Where Trakkr fits, by what each option constrains

| Option | What it costs per 1,000 answers | What constrains you |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Trakkr Growth | $8.33 | 50 prompt slots per brand, and one run a day |
| Trakkr Scale | $4.17 | Same 50 slots per brand, spread across ten brands |
| Trakkr with the +200 pack | $2.06 marginal | 250 slots, still one run a day |
| Rankscale Pro | $20.63 | A credit balance, but hourly scheduling is purchasable |
| Profound Growth | $44.33 | Credits, and an enterprise sales motion |
| AthenaHQ Starter | $81.94 | Credits, and the prompt count they buy |

Read that table as two products, not six. Five of the rows sell you answers and ration them. One sells you slots and floods them.

If the question keeping you up is whether a movement on your dashboard was real, the cheap row does not help, because 30 answers a month per engine cannot answer it. If the question is which of 250 buyer questions mention you at all, nothing else in the bracket is close on price.

## FAQ

### How much does Trakkr cost?

Growth is $100 a month for one brand with 50 active prompts and eight AI models. Scale is $500 a month for ten brands at the same per-brand depth, with unlimited seats, white-label portals and API access. Enterprise starts around $790 a month billed annually. Annual billing is advertised at two months free.

### Does Trakkr have a free tier?

No. Trakkr runs a 14-day free trial with full access to Growth features and no permanent free plan, which matches what [Am I Cited's review](https://www.amicited.com/reviews/trakkr-review/) found in September 2026\. Use the trial to count how many responses a single prompt generates in a week, because that is the number the published reviews disagree about.

### What does Trakkr track?

Brand presence in AI answers, ranking position when several products are listed, cited sources, competing products mentioned, and the language each model uses about you. It also reports AI crawler activity by bot and AI referral traffic through a Google Analytics connection, which it keeps as separate evidence rather than merging into one score.

### What are the best Trakkr alternatives?

It depends on which constraint bites. If you need sampling depth on a small prompt set, Rankscale is the only product in this bracket that sells sub-daily scheduling. If you need enterprise reporting and procurement paperwork, Profound and Conductor sit in that lane. If you want the cheapest possible width, the honest answer is that Trakkr is the alternative other tools get compared against.

### Is Trakkr good for agencies?

The economics are built for it. Ten brands for $500, extra brands at $50, unlimited seats, free client portals and full white-labelling with no vendor branding. Whether that makes a good retainer depends entirely on what you do with the readings, because the login is the cheap part.

## The bottom line

Trakkr is the first product in this category we have priced where the tooling bill is genuinely not the decision. Eight dollars per thousand answers at the entry tier, and two dollars at the margin, is far enough below the bracket that the comparison stops being about money.

What you are actually choosing is a shape. Fifty to 250 questions, watched once a day, on eight engines, forever.

That shape suits a brand that does not yet know which questions mention it. It does not suit a team trying to prove that last month's movement was real, because the fixed daily run cannot produce enough answers to settle the question.

Our corpus is the reason we keep coming back to that distinction. Across 63 days the category leader flipped on only 18.7% of day pairs, and in four of the ten categories it never changed once. The average category leader appeared in 78.2% of its own category's answers. The full data sits in the [final report](/state-of-ai-india/final-report).

Most of what a daily tracker shows you is a standing that holds for weeks. Buying more of those readings cheaply is still buying more of the same reading.

### Get the reading your tracker cannot produce

We run your buyer prompts deep enough to separate movement from noise, across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode, then do the earned work that changes the position. No platform to license.
